Full Spectrum Doula, Childbirth Educator, Herbalist + Placenta Encapsulation Specialist

Denawa Deniece

Hi! I'm Denawa Deniece. An herbalist, yogi, mother of 1 human, 1 furbabies and about 60 plant babies give or take.  I've been a birth professional serving the Greater Charlotte area since 2019. I came into the birth world after a transformative prenatal yoga teacher training experience that left me with the deepest desire to support women during their own transformative journeys into motherhood.

I wear many hats within the birth world + motherhood journey- Birth Doula, Postpartum Support, and Community Herbalist are what I'm most known for.

Additionally, I am a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, Childbirth Educator, Prenatal Yoga Teacher, Backup Nanny, Pregnancy and Infant Loss Advocate, Woman's Advisory Board Chair, and Mentor, alongside a few other specialties of deep interest.

My Background

Denawa is a DONA International Certified Full Spectrum Doula specializing in healing, mindfulness, herbalism and yoga.  She began her yoga teacher journey in Charlotte NC, completing her 200 hour-RYT teacher training in Vinyasa Flow followed by a 24hr Advanced Prenatal yoga teacher training with the focus on women of color through Black Orchid.  She later completed an 85-hr prenatal yoga teacher training through Awakened Spirit Yoga.  Denawa's passion for birth knowledge continued to grow with the completion of her Childbirth Education training and becoming a Spinning Babies®  Parent Educator.  Inspired by the healing power of plants + herbs, Denawa has also completed formal training to practice herbalism.

Vision

It has always been my path to support + help people.  I am 100% that person who shares what I have found to be helpful or useful.  In each area of my life + journey, there has always been the same theme: "How can I support?"  This is the theme that led me to prenatal yoga training, and from there my passion to help + support women during their pregnancy, birth and beyond.

As a mom, aunt, daughter and sister I understand all too well the importance of having someone there to support you during a time where you will need it most.

The common thread to each of my personal and professional experiences has been the desire to serve, support and empower others.
